Privacy Policy
How BitRouter protects your data and privacy
Data Collection and Usage
BitRouter is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary for operation:
- Wallet addresses - used solely for crypto payments and balance tracking
- API usage logs - used for billing and service optimization
- Model preferences and usage patterns - used for improving user experience
BitRouter does not require Know Your Customer (KYC) information. You can use the wallet-based service without providing an email address. If you choose to subscribe to the BitRouter newsletter, we collect your email address to send occasional routing insights and significant product updates. Newsletter signup is separate from creating an account or using the service.
Data Storage
We store data only as necessary for service operation:
- Usage logs are retained for 90 days for billing purposes, after which they are securely deleted
- Wallet balances and credits are stored securely
- We do not permanently store the content of your conversations or model data
- Newsletter addresses and subscription status are managed by Resend. We retain the address while you are subscribed; after you unsubscribe, Resend may retain your opt-out status to honor your preference. You can request deletion using the contact details below
Newsletter
We send a confirmation email before adding an address to the newsletter list. Each newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. Resend processes addresses and delivery information for this purpose. We do not add service users or prospect contacts to the newsletter without a separate signup.
Third-Party Services
BitRouter serves as a routing layer between users and external AI providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
- Each provider has their own privacy policies for processing requests. Requests routed through our service may be subject to the privacy policies of those providers.
- We do not control or assume responsibility for how third-party AI providers collect, use, or store your data.
- We act as a proxy and do not store the content of your conversations or model data.
Limitations
While BitRouter is committed to protecting your privacy, you acknowledge and agree that:
- We are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, or data handling practices of third-party AI providers or blockchain networks. Your relationship with those providers is governed exclusively by their own terms and privacy policies.
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website.
